Accomplishments as SOS

  • Online filing services to be implemented in 2010. Elimination of paper will increase efficiency in processing times.
  • Wasteful spending slashed by initiating changes to antiquated laws. One such example is state agencies are no longer are required to file a paper notice of where a public meeting notice will be posted. Agencies will establish a notice area on their Web site creating transparency in government.
  • Secretary of State Web site updated to state layout standards. Archived information is preserved, information is easier to find.
  • Staff is cross-trained. Taxpayer dollars saved doing more with less.
  • Election's Procedure Manual is updated with input from stakeholders. Read more about it in the Arizona Republic Web site here
